Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the permitted and prohibited uses of the BookUploadPro service. By using our service, you agree to comply with this policy.

Violations of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account without notice.

You may use BookUploadPro for:

• Uploading and managing your own original book manuscripts and related content
• Distributing your content to authorized publishing platforms (KDP, Kobo, D2D, etc.)
• Organizing and tracking your publishing workflow across multiple marketplaces
• Managing metadata, pricing, and distribution settings for your published works
• Collaborating with authorized team members on publishing projects

You may NOT use BookUploadPro to:

A. Violate Intellectual Property Rights:

• Upload copyrighted material without authorization from the copyright holder
• Distribute pirated or unauthorized copies of books or other content
• Infringe on trademarks, trade secrets, or other intellectual property
• Reproduce content owned by others without proper licensing

B. Engage in Fraudulent or Illegal Activities:

• Conduct any illegal activities or facilitate unlawful acts
• Engage in fraud, money laundering, or other financial crimes
• Submit false or misleading information to publishing platforms
• Create fake accounts or impersonate others

C. Abuse or Harm the Service:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Circumvent usage limits, quotas, or subscription tiers
• Use automated systems, bots, or scrapers without permission
• Overload or stress-test our infrastructure

D. Violate Platform Terms:

• Violate the terms of service of any connected publishing platform
• Use our service in a manner that could cause us to violate third-party agreements
• Circumvent platform-specific restrictions or rules

E. Distribute Harmful Content:

• Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Distribute spam, phishing attempts, or unsolicited messages
• Upload content that is defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory
• Distribute explicit content without proper age verification and disclaimers

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Using strong, unique passwords and enabling two-factor authentication if available
• Not sharing your account with others or selling your account

BookUploadPro subscription plans include usage limits (uploads per month, marketplace connections, etc.). You agree to:

• Adhere to the usage limits of your subscribed plan
• Not attempt to circumvent or exceed these limits
• Upgrade your plan if you require higher limits
• Use the service in a manner that does not negatively impact other users

If you use our browser extensions, you agree to:

• Use extensions only for their intended purpose
• Not modify, reverse engineer, or decompile extension code
• Not use extensions to scrape or extract data from publishing platforms
• Keep extensions updated to the latest version
• Not distribute or share extension access with unauthorized users

You are solely responsible for all content you upload or distribute through our service. You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the legal right to distribute the content
• The content does not infringe on any third-party rights
• The content complies with all applicable laws and regulations
• The content meets the quality and format requirements of target platforms

We reserve the right to monitor usage and investigate potential violations of this AUP. If we determine you have violated this policy, we may:

• Issue a warning or require corrective action
• Suspend your account temporarily
• Terminate your account permanently
• Take legal action if necessary
• Report illegal activities to appropriate authorities

We are not obligated to provide notice before taking action, particularly for severe violations.

Include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation, usernames involved, and any supporting evidence.

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or industry best practices.

Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
